Terms of service
The rules for using Fife, in plain words.
Effective October 9, 2026
Agreement
These terms cover your use of usefife.com and the Fife app. By using either, you agree to them. If you use Fife through your employer, your organization's agreement with Fife also applies, and it wins where the two differ.
Your account
Keep the device and accounts you use with Fife secure, and tell us promptly at benson@usefife.com if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
Your data
What you say to Fife, show it, and connect it to stays yours. You give us permission to use it only to run Fife for you and your organization, as described in our privacy policy.
What Fife does for you
Fife can read from and act in the systems you connect, such as sending an email or editing a file, within the permissions you and your organization set. Fife is software and makes mistakes. Check what matters before relying on it, especially anything sent to other people, financial figures, and changes that are hard to undo. Fife asks before actions that go outside your organization or touch shared work, and records what it changed so it can be undone where the other system allows.
Acceptable use
Do not use Fife to break the law, to access systems or data you are not authorized to access, to harass anyone, to send spam, or to interfere with Fife or the services it connects to. Follow the terms of the services you connect.
Other services
Google, Microsoft and other services you connect are provided by those companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for them, and they may change or end their access.
Changes and ending
We are building Fife quickly and features will change. You can stop using Fife at any time. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If we change these terms we will update the date above and tell app users about material changes before they take effect.
No warranty
Fife is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Fife is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Fife in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.
